Have you seen reports saying how a glass of red wine can be healthy for you? I had and automatically decided that was one action to a healthy lifestyle I would not be adopting. My past experience with red wines is that they are pungent and often bitter. I wanted to like them, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Then I saw an opportunity to review a the Zazzol wine aerator. Reading the description with the key phrase “Your Wine Will Taste Significantly Better In Seconds” and some online reviews got me interested in giving red wine another try.
What is a Wine Aerator and Why Would I Want One?
Basically, a wine aerator is a gadget that introduces air into your wine. When pouring a red wine, experts have often recommended allowing it to sit for a while to breathe. The wine aerator removes that time requirement as the wine is ready to go once it has made its path through the device and into your glass.
Zazzol uses a slightly different approach to some of the other wine aerators on the market. Their unique design aerates in 3 steps: first wine is dispersed over a cone, then drains through 32 holes, and lastly, air is injected into the tube before the wine exits the bottom and into the glass.
This process allows the wine to spread out thoroughly while efficiently mixes oxygen with the wine to break down the tannins. The tannins are what can give wine an overly astringent, bitter taste. The end result is a more balanced finish while enhancing the aromas and flavors for the ideal glass of wine, every time!

My Video Review of the Zazzol Wine Aerator
After recording my initial trial of the Zazzol, I had some guests give their opinion. They all agreed that it made a noticeable difference on the red Zinfandel wine. However, when we tried it with a Pinot Grigio, there was no real difference besides some air bubbles in the glass.
So, I would definitely recommend this product for anyone drinking red wine. I plan to keep using mine!
